After their win last week, the boys were pumped for their game against Kaikorai Valley at Logan Park.

The game got off to a flying start with Ben Judson starting the scoring off with a great finish to find the back of the net. From there it was one for one between Ben and Marcello Marcos seeing both of them score a hat trick. Going into half time our score was 5 – 0. The team worked hard in attack and defense this week putting through some great ball for the goal scores, it is amazing what a year can do! Compared to last year you would think it was a different team. The goal scoring continued in the second half ending the game 8 – 0, our other goal scorers were Ashley Simmonds and Isaac McCarthy.

We shouldn’t take anything away from the Kaikorai Valley team, they played some great football they found us sleeping on a couple of occasions making the most of their opportunity’s and finding our back line scrambling to get back to defend, some great goal saves form Hayden saved their bacon and kept us with a clean sheet.

Player of the day this week went to Ben and Marcello for their hat tricks. Both boys worked hard on both attack and defense. Their goal count would have been more if all of their shots on goal had of landed where they wanted them to.
