For students that bring a vehicle its a great time to be gaining more independence and I am sure we all remember getting our first vehicle.
Its an exciting time of life. Along with this we need to make sure we are using our vehicles with respect for other road users and ourselves. The last thing we want to be doing as a school is having to deal with accidents or having to report driving issues.
This means that students need to be following their licences at all times. This is especially with regard to carrying passengers.
When you are parking before the start of school make sure you are doing so appropriately in the car parks. Year 12’s use the car park by the new gym and Year 13 the car park opposite Rosebank primary school. If you are parking on the road make sure you are not blocking a driveway or making it difficult for someone to access their driveway.
Frances Street is a busy road with lots of younger children that can behave in unpredictable ways. Make sure you are driving slowly and in a way that you can avoid any children that may be in the road unexpectedly.
As a school we welcome you driving please do so sensibly and respectfully.
