The 2025 Dunedin Tertiary Open Days will be held on Sunday 4th May and Monday 5th May in Dunedin.
We are taking a 50 seater bus of Year 13 students through on Monday 5th. Permission slips will be handed out on 31 March to students and emailed. Parents/whanau of any level may be interested in attending with their children on Sunday 4th May.
Programmes for the University and Polytechnic’s Tertiary Open Days-Head to www.otago.ac.nz/opendays for further information and FAQs. There will also be printed programmes on campus when students arrive for the Tertiary Open Days. Year 13 students should look at this carefully and plan out their day. Monday has a full programme of academic presentations, an Expo of academic and student support available at the University of Otago, and College of Residence and campus tours.
Sunday includes guided tours of the Colleges of Residence and campus. There will be general overviews of the health sciences, sciences, humanities and business divisions, and some hands-on activities, but has a limited range of academic presentations and no Expo.
If you can only attend one day then Monday is the best day. However, many people like to attend both days, often using Sunday for College visits so they can spend all of Monday attending academic presentations and talking to staff at the Expo.
The Open Days App will be ready before Open Day. Users will need to register to personalise the app; you can sign up for updates on the Open Days webpage here to be notified when it’s available.
